A renovation loan can be used when a home buyer can’t afford their “dream home” at a move-in ready price. By purchasing or refinancing a less perfect place and investing in renovations and repairs, you will be able to create and customize the ideal family home. This financing can be for needed repairs, desired improvements, even failed inspections, open permits, code violation or to add square footage.

Course Objectives
1. Describe the basic mechanics and steps of a renovation loan to their customer.
2. Assist their customer in identifying properties suitable for a renovation loan.
3. Explain the benefits between a Traditional Mortgage vs a Renovation Loan.
4. Describe improvement that can and cannot be financed with a renovation loan.
5. Describe FHA and FNMA convention loan products that may be use for renovations.
6. Explain to a consumer what an FHA 203K Loan is.
7. Explain the VA Renovation Loan Program to a customer.
8. Describe a Construction Loan.
9. Explain Jumbo Renovation Financing.

Class cancellations for “Specialty” courses (Designations/Certifications/license renewal) received within 3 business days of the class start day will be subject to a $20 cancellation fee, which would result in a partial refund of the paid registration fee. If the aforementioned registration was not paid, an invoice for the $20 cancellation fee will be applied.

Members who “No Show” a class without notice of cancellation prior to class will not be eligible for a refund of the registration fee.
