Why Top Producers are saying the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR®) Designation is a vital part of their business in 2023:
As a nation, we’re experiencing historically low housing inventory. When inventory is tight, buyers look for agents who are going to give them the best chance of getting the home of their dreams—which means any competitive advantage you can get is invaluable. In today’s seller’s market where multiple-offer situations are the norm, buyer’s agents need tried and true skills and strategies to give them the edge. ABR designees are equipped to guide homebuyers through every stage of the home buying process. Survive this market by becoming an advocate of the home buying process through the ABR.

When you decide to earn your ABR®, you gain:

Valuable real estate education that elevates your skills and knowledge in the eyes of home buyer
Learn how to overcome multi-offer scenarios
Gain the skills you need to make your offer more attractive
Ongoing specialized information, programs and updates that help you stay on top of the issues and trends in successfully representing home buyers.
Access to REBAC members-only marketing tools and resources, which provide an additional competitive edge.
Earn 8 Specialty CE Credits towards your next license renewal (You are still responsible for 3 CE of Core Law and 3 CE of Business Ethics)

To obtain and use the ABR® designation and Logo, you must complete all four (4) requirements listed below within 3 years of successful course completion:
1. Successful completion of the two-day Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation Course, including an 80 percent passing grade on the exam. After you complete this course you will have three (3) years in which to complete the other ABR® designation requirements.
2. Successful completion of one of the ABR® elective courses, including an 80 percent passing grade on the exam. This course may be taken prior to completing the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation Course.
3. Documentation verifying five (5) completed transactions in which you acted solely as a buyer representative (no dual agency). Any transactions closed prior to taking the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation Course or closed within three years after completing the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation Course are eligible for credit.
4. Maintain active and good membership status in the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC) and the National Association of REALTORS®. Exception: International members of REBAC do not have to be members of NAR.
