Both days are 8am-5pm, with the exam on the second day starting at 4pm.

In GRI 101, Realtors® will learn just what sets them apart from real estate licensees. Professional Standards will guide you through the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, and the expectations and requirements of the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC).

The Law portion will expand on the real estate law learned in the basic sales associate’s course to help participants identify and understand legal issues that arise.
Learning how to take a proactive role in preventing fair housing violations will reduce a licensee’s exposure to liability... and that’s what Fair Housing and Diversity will provide. Awareness of federal fair housing laws and sensitivity to consumer diversity is vital to business success, reputation and growth.

Module 101 "Professionalism and the Law":
- Fair Housing & Diversity
- Law
- Professional Standards

This particular Module also counts towards (3CE) "Core Law" & (3CE) "Ethics & Business Practices."

Your awareness of federal fair housing laws and sensitivity to consumer diversity is vital to business success, reputation, and growth. You will learn why it is necessary to understand fair housing laws and the impact that both fair housing and diversity have on your business.

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to accomplish the following:

  • Demonstrate behavior compliant with federal fair housing and related laws (including ADA).
  • Compare obligations of the Realtor® Code of Ethics and REALTOR® Fair Housing Declaration to the requirements of the Fair Housing Act.
  • Describe the various property ownership types and the concurrent ownership tenancies.
  • Identify the requirements by law with regard to listing agreements.
  • Interpret key aspirational concepts found in the Preamble to the National Association of REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
  • Illustrate with examples violations of the “Pathways to Professionalism” courtesy and etiquette guidelines.

This module will also highlight the importance of having a working understanding of the Code of Ethics, which provides the REALTOR® with the expectations and requirements of both the National Association of REALTORS® and the Real Estate Commission.

REALTORS with the GRI designation have in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process. Earning the designation is a way to stand out to prospective buyers and sellers as a professional with expertise in these areas.

Successful completion of all 3 modules in the 100 Series will yield 45hr Post Salesperson Continuing Education credits, OR the 8 hours continuing education specialty credits for license renewal! Why take just the class, when you can start earning a designation and satisfy your license renewal requirements at the same time?

To obtain the GRI Designation, all following modules are to be completed with exams passed within a 5 year period (101, 102, 103, 201, 202, 301 & 302). Modules are not required to be taken in order to earn designation.

NOTE: Once all 7 GRI Modules are successfully completed, you must complete the GRI Petition to Graduate form and send to Florida Realtors (with $25 fee) for final processing and approval. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.
