Representing clients in the purchase of new-home construction requires a significantly different set of skills. NAR's NEW-HOME CONSTRUCTION AND BUYER REPRESENTATION course is designed to help real estate professionals gain the product and transaction knowledge needed in order to guide clients through the processes for the purchase, construction, and customization of a new home. Along the way, you will learn how to work with new home builders and sales representatives while ultimately protecting your clients' interests. Learning Objectives:
Explain characteristics of new homes - from custom to spec construction
Help clients evaluate pros and cons of purchasing new homes versus existing homes
Guide buyers through the purchase transaction for a new home
Help buyers understand new-home construction sales contracts
Guide a client through the process and stages of building from contract to release
Explain to a buyer the steps and considerations involved in building on an already owned lot and custom building

This course qualifies as an elective course for the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) Desgination offered by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC). For information on earning the ABR Designation go to www.REBAC.net

Class cancellations for “Specialty” courses (Designations/Certifications/license renewal) received within 3 business days of the class start day will be subject to a $20 cancellation fee, which would result in a partial refund of the paid registration fee. If the aforementioned registration was not paid, an invoice for the $20 cancellation fee will be applied.

Members who “No Show” a class without notice of cancellation prior to class will not be eligible for a refund of the registration fee.
