NAR's GREEN Designation curriculum is a 2-day series where you will gain an understanding of Buyers' and sellers' changing expectations about energy and home performance, how properties with green features can sell for more, marketing the benefits of high performance features and smart home technology, and the advances of a sustainable business model.
- Thursday, 11/4 Day 1: The Resource-Efficient Home: Remodels, Retrofits, Renovations, and New-Home Construction
- Covers the distinguishing characteristics that make a home resource thrifty. The course looks at why consumer demand for these homes is increasing and how both the homes and consumer expectations impact the market. The course prepares real estate professionals to provide advice and sources of information to help homeowners improve the resource efficiency of their homes from low-cost fixes and DIY projects to retrofitting and replacing systems to big budget remodeling projects. The course also looks at constructing a new, resource-efficient home and the value that real estate professionals can bring to the design and build team.
- Tuesday, 11/9 Day 2: Representing Buyers & Sellers: Resource-Efficient Homes
- The second course in the designation program sequence, focuses on applying your knowledge of resource-efficient, smart, and certified homes and adapting your core real estate skills to build business success in the niche market for resource-efficient homes.

How to become a NAR GREEN Designee?
- Attend both Day 1 & Day 2 Courses
- Submit your GREEN Designation application
- Maintain an active membership with the Green Resource Council ($98.50 annually) and the National Association of REALTORS.
IMPORTANT: After registration, you will receive a confirmation email and payment receipt. On the date class, you will receive an invitation email to join the Zoom training. From your Computer/Laptop/Tablet, click the URL/link to join the session at the appointed time.
This is a LIVE Training you will be able to watch the computer screen and listen to the trainers from the comfort of your own home! Computer/Laptop/Tablet with internet access and audio is REQUIRED. Make sure your volume is turned up so you can hear the instructors when they start the session.
NOTE All participants will be muted during the training session to reduce distraction and ambient noises, but a live CHAT feature within the webinar will allow you to ask your questions during the training, and our trainers will receive your questions and be able to answer in real time.

Class cancellations for “Specialty” courses (Designations/Certifications/license renewal) received within 3 business days of the class start day will be subject to a $20 cancellation fee, which would result in a partial refund of the paid registration fee. If the aforementioned registration was not paid, an invoice for the $20 cancellation fee will be applied.
Members who “No Show” a class without notice of cancellation prior to class will not be eligible for a refund of the registration fee.
